I've jsut released a new freeware called SUMo - Software Updates Monitor.

SUMo notifies users when updates are available for their favorite software

I would build a "source this update" comments system to the results page. Make it none registration too so it increases the use. It does not need to be a link to the file, just the download page for the software. Searching is okay but sometimes you want it to be simple.
Thats one thought anyway ;)

That's a good idea but with an important security issue as anyone would be able to post anything as source....

Thats always a risk but I would implement it with a "success" tracker. E.G. users vote if the source is valid and make links with 3 negatives auto hide to prevent the issue.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
