Hey all,

I read a while back that partitioning a Mirrored drive setup is not good practice and can lead to the RAID array being unstable.

Is this correct?

I am thinking of partitioning my 2x160gig RAID1 setup.

Thanks

you just need to make sure that both disks have identical partitions. A hardware RAID controller does that for you though :)

Thanks Guys,

It is a Hardware Mirror, setup. Both 160 giggers are hooked up to a PromiseTX2000 PCI Raid card.

Thanks again.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
