ignore me, sorry about that...why do i always figure it out about 5 mins after i ask on here?

i know there's a simple solution to this, as i had to do it last time i installed a s-ata drive...it's a maxtor diamondmax plus 250gb s-ata drive, it's in the computer, working and spinning away, showing up in device manager as working, but not showing up in 'my computer'...my wd raptor did the same thing, and there was 1 little thing i had to do to get it to show up but i just cant remember what the hell it was, it was a tool in windows, it allowed you to partition the drive aswell i think, some kind of disk management tool? any ideas

Heh, I had this problem when I installed my first hard drive. It does make you feel kinda funny when you found out how to do something right after you post it

Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Storage/Disc management........that's if you are still loooking.
