cursor won't stop rolling down

I think I may have found the problem after talking with dell tech support. I think that the down arrow key may have been sticking. It appears to have stopped. The beeping at start up also appears to have stopped which I was told was the key sticking as well. I've tried several times to restart it and it is no longer beeping during startup. I was ready to toss it at a wall 10 minutes ago. Glad I didn't. also glad i called Tech support.
